Salary Range: $78,260 - $82,065 pending experience + Superannuation

As a Payroll Officer at Townsville Catholic Education, you'll play a key role in delivering reliable, accurate and timely payroll services that our employees can count on every fortnight. Payroll is about more than processing pay - it's about maintaining compliance, building trust and giving our people confidence they'll be paid correctly every time.
In this role, you will:
- Process accurate and timely fortnightly payrolls.
- Maintain payroll records, including contracts, pay rates, leave and allowances.
- Provide accurate, confidential payroll advice and support.
- Prepare payroll calculations, reports and termination payments.
- Liaise with external agencies, including WorkCover, superannuation funds and Services Australia.
- Investigate and resolve payroll and system issues.
- Collaborate to improve payroll processes and service delivery.
- Contribute to payroll projects, testing and continuous improvement.
- Support People and Safety initiatives during peak periods.
- Grow your capability through ongoing learning and cross-training.
About You
You're someone who enjoys getting the details right and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service. You have payroll experience in a complex environment and can confidently interpret awards, enterprise agreements and employment legislation.
Youre organised, analytical and comfortable using payroll systems and spreadsheets. You communicate effectively, build positive working relationships and enjoy collaborating with others to continuously improve payroll services.
