Salary Range: $86,600 to $124,725 per annum pending experience

As TCE’s newest school and Townsville’s first Catholic co-educational secondary college, Mary Help of Christians Catholic College opened in 2025 with five Year 7 classes. In 2026, we will expand to include Year 8, growing to a 7-12 community of over 800 students by 2030. About the role
Mary Help of Christians Catholic College, Shaw is seeking a dedicated and experienced Secondary -Inclusive Practices Teacher to join our staff for the commencement of the 2026 school year. This role is a full-time position and will commence on 19 January 2026.
The successful applicant will possess the qualifications and/or ability to teach in one or more subject areas in conjunction with supporting the Middle Leader - Inclusive Practices.
The Secondary - Inclusive Practices Teacher supports the mission of the College through championing a culture of inclusive pedagogy and learning. In addition, the role holder supports the development and administration of processes associated with the support of students with disability and/or additional learning needs in a fully inclusive model of education. In addition to fulfilling their teaching role, the Secondary - Inclusive Practices Teacher plays an important role in supporting all staff to ensure that students with disability can access and engage with the curriculum and on the same basis as their peers.
The Principal also welcomes applications from experienced upper primary Inclusive Practices teachers who desire a transition to teaching in the secondary context.

Mandatory Criteria/Professional Registration/Other
- Appropriate Tertiary qualification with registration or eligibility for registration with Queensland College of Teachers
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner
