This is a full-time, fixed-term leadership appointment for 5 years, commencing 19 January 2026.
As the Assistant Principal – Pedagogy and Learning, you’ll share in the responsibility for leading teaching and learning across the school. Working closely with the Principal and staff, you’ll drive evidence-based approaches that enhance engagement, improve student outcomes, and build teacher capability.
You’ll model and promote excellence in classroom practice, leading initiatives that embed high-quality pedagogy and consistent, data-informed teaching across year levels. Your leadership will empower teachers to innovate, collaborate and continually refine their craft - creating learning environments where every student can thrive.
Drawing on your deep understanding of curriculum, assessment and contemporary educational practice, you’ll foster a professional learning culture that’s reflective, faith-filled and future-focused. Guided by Catholic values, you’ll nurture both the spiritual and educational development of students and staff alike.
To succeed in this role, you’ll bring extensive experience leading teaching and learning initiatives, with a strong track record in improving student engagement and academic outcomes. You’ll have in-depth knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and expertise in selecting and implementing effective pedagogy across diverse year levels. Confident in using data to drive improvement, you’ll model and coach high-impact teaching practices, support professional growth, and build collaborative learning cultures that inspire excellence.
You’ll hold full registration with the Queensland College of Teachers, appropriate tertiary qualifications, and postgraduate study (or a commitment to complete) in Religious Education, Theology or Catholic Ethos. Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school is also required.
